For some the whole idea of following your intuition may seem a daunting one, trusting something that doesn’t seem to be rational or logical. How would I know what the difference is between intuition and fear, other emotions, or voices in my head? The best definition of intuition that I have heard is, intuition is a knowing that you know that you know.
Over the years I’ve learned to listen to my intuition. It started when I was living in London working as a motorcycle courier. Because I was not familiar with the city, I would look up the address of where I needed to go in the A-Z street directory. Yes, this was back in the days before GPS Apps on mobile phones. Unlike the London Black Cab drivers who’d spend years memorising all of the streets in London. I didn’t have years I needed a different approach, so from the A-Z I’d get an idea of the general direction that I needed to go. Then I’d head off to the other side of the city in that direction until I felt that I was close to where I needed to be. Then I’d check the A-Z to find where I was in relation to I needed to get to and over time I got better and better at listening to my intuition on which street to turn down. I began to find more and more that when I checked back in the A-Z from that initial time that I was just one or two streets from where I needed to be. Sometimes when I stopped to check I’d even find I was almost right outside where I needed to be.
After my work permit expired, I moved to Melbourne and again started motorcycle couriering. The goal as a courier to earn as much as possible is to get as many jobs onboard and then deliver them as quickly as possible, as you got paid on the number of deliveries you completed. One of the companies I worked for in Melbourne was run by ex-couriers and surprisingly they encouraged you using you to use your intuition. So much so that they even had a term for it and called it “going with Doris”. Doris related to a well-known physic Doris Stokes, and they even kept a copy of her book in the office. A dispatcher who was “going with Doris” would give a courier a series of randomly located pickups across town which on the face of it made no logical sense. But magically more often than not as the courier was traveling around picking up the jobs. Other jobs would be rung in within the pickup area that the courier was working and it would turn into a profitable delivery run for them.
While I was working for this Melbourne Courier company what I’d do was when I had finished a delivery run is I’d “go with Doris’. Listening to my intuition I’d locate myself outside businesses where I felt that there would likely to be pickups phoned in. I would also use my intuition when I had a large number of jobs onboard for delivery, some of them being urgent and needed to be delivered within 15min. Listening to my intuition I’d deliver them in an order which made no logical sense especially considering the urgent jobs which should be delivered before the others. But somehow it would seem to magically work out. Often, I even ended up picking up other jobs from the business that I was delivering to while I still delivering jobs on this delivery run. On really good days there was a seemingly endless flow of jobs that would lead on to other jobs.
Towards the end of 2019 and being constantly interested in things that I can do that will help me improve myself physically, mentally, and spiritually I was listening to Bulletproof Radio podcast. On one of the episodes, Dave was talking about a Life Coach Training program that was coming up. Now over the years, I’d heard Dave talk about the Life Coach Training program but for some reason this time it intuitively resonated with me. I could see how it could bring together all that I had been learning over the past 30+ years and use it a way to help people and create a business for myself but felt that there was something more to it. So, I enrolled starting the part-time Life Coach training program in January 2020. In March 2020 I was made redundant from the job I had for over 5 years. Rather than being upset as most people would be I was relieved as the job had been stressful and could see why I was guided to start training as a Life Coach when I did. As I approached the end of the coaching training, I appreciated even more that I was no longer in a full-time job as the last couple of months of the training program were really intense.
In April 2021 I went to the Sydney Mind Body Spirit Festival which is an event that usually happens twice a year in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. It brings together a collection of people and businesses involved in things from nutrition, energy healing, crystals, clairvoyants and health products, and programs and enable individuals and businesses with an opportunity to showcase what they have to offer. I’d been regularly going to MBS at least once a year for about the past 4 years, but I really hadn’t come across anything that was new or of interest to me. As a result, this year I wasn’t expecting to really find anything either. I started walking up and down the rows and rows of stalls in the exhibition hall to see if anything popped out for me. I came across a stall for Tesla Metamorphosis the word Tesla immediately popped out for me. I intuitively knew this had nothing to do with the Tesla company that manufacture electric cars and solar electricity panels that named in honour of Nikola Tesla. Over 30 years ago I became interested in the work of Nikola Tesla after reading about some of his lesser-known research like free energy and wireless energy distribution which has been suppressed.
I started speaking with one of the women working on the stall and she explained to me Tesla Metamorphosis is a form of energy healing. Tesla Metamorphosis uses energy that is in non-hertzian waves that get stronger with distance unlike other forms of energy healing like Reiki which I’d trained in. I was offered a short session and laid down on the massage table to experience it. Shortly after starting she said that she sensed that I was able to handle a more intense session and stood further away from me to send me the energy. After the session, I noticed a very profound change I walked round the rest of the MBS stalls feeling really blissful and mentally very aware. This state of being lasted for me a couple of days and it was an experience that had not occurred after all of the other energy healing practices I’d tried over the years. As a result, I started looking into Tesla Metamorphosis further. My intuition sensed that it would somehow help me to further assist my coaching clients and decided to get trained.
When you followed or didn’t follow your intuition how did that work out for you?
